AdWords Editor tip: Copying into a spreadsheet
Wednesday, March 26, 2008
Posted by Bill Yancey, AdWords Agency Team
One of AdWords Editor's lesser known features is the ability to copy directly out of the data grid and paste into your spreadsheet program of choice. This way, you can pull the contents of a particular tab of Editor and modify the data to your heart's content. You can then post your changes directly back into Editor using the 'Make Multiple Changes' dialog box. The data will also automatically be in the correct format so there's no need to delete or move columns around. The instructions below are for Windows machines. Happy spreadsheeting!
Compile the information you need in a tab (you can use Advanced Search to help)
Hit Ctrl+A to highlight all of the information in the tab
Hit Ctrl+C to copy all of the highlighted data
Open the spreadsheet application of your choice
Hit Ctrl+V to paste the data into your spreadsheet
Make your changes
Copy and paste back into the 'Make Multiple Changes' dialog on the relevant tab
Post your changes
Go do something with all the time you saved (coffee, walk, call your Mom, etc.)
Attention-getters: MCC Alerts
Tuesday, March 25, 2008
Posted by Ali Miller, Product Specialist Team
We recently launched the
My Client Center (MCC) Alerts
feature, which provides a single summary view of all your clients' Account Snapshot alerts. If you haven't had a chance to check the feature out, you'll see the alerts in the summary box directly above your client list, or through the 'Alerts' link at the top of the page.
Not all alerts may need your immediate attention, so you can search across your alerts to find the ones you need, as shown below.
To save time, you can also narrow down your search to alerts for certain clients and even save your searches for future use. You can learn more about saved searches, alert types, and more in our
Help Center
.
